I stayed here when snowmaching in late Feb. and it was extremely cold, minus 30 degrees. When it was time to leave my truck would not start due to the fact that the engine plug in did not work. Roxanne tried to help by using her car to jump start but to no avail, then she called her husband and he came by after his work, then went home got a heater and a battery charger. He spent a couple of hours of his evening getting me started and on my way home. I don't know of more helpful people and again I would like to thank Roxanne and Al for a wonderful end to my trip.. My son was visiting from Seattle and on our way back to Anchorage, he's comments were that these were some of the most helpful people he's met Tom Poziombke I have stayed at Slide Mountain twice now and every time I get the chance to get up there Slide Mountain is where I stay. I have stayed during the winter and the summer and without any doubt the customer service and cabins are top notch. The playground is great for the little ones summer or winter and they have access to some of the best trails for 4wheeling and snowmachining. I have recommended them to all my friends and will be staying there again very soon. To anyone considering staying in this area for recreation, the hospitality and accommodations are fantastic. The price for cabins are very reasonable and within a 5 minute drive (by car) or 15 minute ride to the Eureka lodge. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! |
